  2. For all multilingual courses, the “View as learner” option has been removed to avoid a blank page.
  3. We have added the same option within the Progress page to allow admin users to see the progress page as a specific user or any user from a specific cohort. https://csc.learning-tribes.com/2019/06/17/view-a-learners-progress-page/

To prevent unauthorized access to full public courses, users with disabled catalog privileges will no longer be able to self-enroll. This change ensures that only validated courses are accessible to users, mitigating the risk of data loss and maintaining compliance standards.

Admin Enrollment Requirement: Users without catalog access seeking access to full public courses must now be enrolled by an admin. Admins are responsible for confirming the compliance of courses in terms of security before granting access.

  • Removal of Organization field in the course creation

We have streamlined the course creation process by removing the Organization field. This simplification eliminates unnecessary complexity.

New Features & Improvements

  • Multilingual Course Option

We are thrilled to announce an update to our platform – the Multilingual Course feature. This enhancement empowers Studio Admins by allowing the creation of a single course available in multiple languages. You will no longer need to duplicate efforts by creating separate courses for each language.

Here’s what you can expect from this feature:

  • Unified Course Creation: With Multilingual Course support, creators can streamline their workflow by building a single, comprehensive course for a global audience. Save time and resources while offering a more inclusive learning experience.
  • Language Selection at Launch: Learners now have the flexibility to choose their preferred language when first accessing the course. This ensures a personalized learning journey right from the start.
  • Unified analytical reports: Get information on learner engagement and progress, displayed in a single unified analysis report, regardless of language.
  • Simplified Course Management: Studio Admins can efficiently handle translations and updates without the complexity of managing separate courses.
  • Promote Collaboration: Multilingual courses foster collaboration among learners from different linguistic backgrounds. Connect global learners within the same course, promoting a diverse and vibrant learning community.

To find out more about creating a multilingual course, click here : https://csc.learning-tribes.com/2023/12/14/multilingual-course/

Note: for learners and other users, on the Course Overview page, the shortcuts to Units in the Course Outline are no longer clickable. Users will have to open the course to access the desired content more quickly.
  • Studio Logs

Logs on Studio provide transparency into the activities within Studio, allowing users to track changes made to Courses and Learning Paths. Every action within Studio is timestamped, providing a clear sequence of events and indicating who initiated each action.

You can find Logs in 2 different places:

  1.  Studio Home Logs: Accessible to Platform Admin – The Studio Home Logs is exclusively accessible by Platform Admins. It provides a comprehensive record of Course/Learning Path creations and deletions at the platform level.

We understand the importance of maintaining a seamless flow while working on your content. With this in mind, we’ve refined the Save notification on Studio (only on Schedule & Details page, for now). The new notification is now less invasive, ensuring that your work remains uninterrupted while providing you with the reassurance that your changes have been successfully saved.

We prevent users to add badge to sub-section with any graded component.

New Features & Improvements

  • “Mark as New Course”

With this update, Studio Admins can now easily highlight new courses for a limited time:

Studio Admins can now designate a course as “New” by adding a special tag to its course card. This option, named “Mark as New Course,” is accessible under Schedule & Details > Introduce Your Course.

When a course is created or has new content, admins can enable the “Mark as New Course” option to indicate its freshness. The duration for which the “NEW” tag will be displayed on the course card is customizable.

This helps learners quickly identify and access new or recently updated courses.

We believe that this feature will significantly improve the visibility of new courses and assist admins in promoting their latest content effectively.

  • Accessing Archived Courses: While Archived Courses will not be prominently visible on the Dashboard and My Training pages, learners will still have the ability to access them. We have introduced a convenient toggle button located at the bottom of the page. By clicking on this toggle, learners can reveal the Archived Courses section, allowing them to explore and access these courses if needed.

By implementing this update, we aim to create a cleaner and more focused learning environment, reducing the potential for learner confusion or distraction caused by Archived Courses.

This display helps users differentiate between active and archived courses, ensuring they focus on relevant content. The course when archived is automaticaly hidden from the catalog and new learners cannot self-enroll to this course
  • Archived Tag on Bulk Enrollment

This aligns with the existing functionality in the Studio course list, providing administrators with a consistent experience across both interfaces.
  • Course Access for Platform Admins
    • As a Platform Admin, you have unrestricted access to all courses, allowing you to test courses without enrolling. However, scores and progress are not included in analytics, leading to user confusion.

Studio Admins have a new option that can be set to calculate the completion on only the passing score of the course. This option is managed course by course.

This change cannot be automaticaly retroactive. If a Studio admin changes the rule for a course, we will not be able to recalculate all the scores. However, if learners logs in the course overview page again their score will be recalculated.
