Grade vs. Progress: what is the difference?

Progress – This takes the total amount of sub-sections in the course and divides it evenly.

Grade – Is weighted distributed differently. The Administrator of the course decides where how the “Grade Weight” should be distributed.

So for example… you can have a course like this:

Section 1 – 1 Problem (Not graded) [Answering this question correctly Completes 20% of the course. With 0  Grade]

Section 2 – 1 Problem (Not graded) [Answering this question correctly Completes 40% of the course. With 0  Grade]

Section 3 – 1 Problem (Not graded) [Answering this question correctly Completes 60% of the course. With 0  Grade]

Section 4 – 1 Problem (Not graded) [Answering this question correctly Completes 80% of the course. With 0  Grade]

Section 5 – Final Quiz (GRADED) ß 100% of grade weight is placed here. [Answering this QUIZ correctly Completes 100% of the course. With a Grade of whatever percent the person got in the quiz.]

——————–

So let’s imagine the person got an 80 in the quiz. They will then have 100% Progress and 80 grade.

Example 2

Section 1 – 1 Problem (Not graded) [Answering this question correctly Completes 20% of the course. With 0  Grade]

Section 2 – 1 Problem (Not graded) [Answering this question correctly Completes 40% of the course. With 0  Grade]

Section 3 – 1 Problem (Not graded) [PERSON SKIPS THIS SECTION!!]

Section 4 – 1 Problem (Not graded) [PERSON SKIPS THIS SECTION!!]

Section 5 – Final Quiz (GRADED) [Person gets 100% in this quiz + 20% progression for completing the section = 60% progress]

——————–

In this example the person will finish the course with:

Grade 100% & Progress 60%

It all depends how the course has been set-up to regulate grade and progress.

To hit 100% Progress & 100% Grade. The learner must:

  1. Complete every task in the course whether GRADED or NOT
  2. Get 100% in the Graded components in the course

The progress bar never reaches 100%. What should I do?

Do a check on all the exercises in the course to see if each cause the progress bar to raise. If a particular exercise does not, the go into the settings and add a grade weight to the problem.

If you prefer that all the progress to be assigned to the final assessment, then you will have to go to each of the other exercises throughout the courses and set the weight to 0.

Why can’t I access my account?

It is probably because you do not have an account created on the platform. Contact us by email: support@learning-tribes.com

User sees another person’s profile when logging in. What should I do?

If a person logs into their Triboo account and sees another person’s profile, Follow these steps:

Step 1 – The client must check their HR Management System and search the two people. First we need to make sure that the people actually own the logins that they are using. Sometimes learners are mistaken on what their correct login is. They may actually be using someone else’s login thinking it is theirs.

Step 2 – If you check both people, and notice that both people actually share the same username, then the client will need to change one of the logins. Two people cannot have the same username.

Step 3 – If you check and all logins are correct (this means that the requester actually owns the login that he is using), AND the person he whose profile he is seeing has a different login, then escalate the ticket to Learning Tribes.

What is Triboo Studio?

Studio is the tool that you use to build your courses. You use Studio to create the course structure and then add course content, including quiz, videos, survey, and other resources for learners. You also use Studio to manage the course schedule and the course team, set grading policies, publish each part of your course, and more. You use Studio directly through a browser. You do not need any additional software.

May I drag and drop a component to another course?

We may drag and drop component into a course, but we can’t drag and drop it from a course to another one.
