Course Summary Report

To see the Course Report, click on “Analytics” from you Dashboard Menu.

Once in the Analytics tool, click “Course Report” from the Analytics Menu Bar.You can now choose any course on the platform from the drop-down list.

Choose the desired course, then press the “Go” button to the right.

Once the course data has loaded, we are given several levels of reporting.

First we can see the global data for a particular course. This includes:

  • A line chart with the number of unique visitors on the platform. The x-axis can be shown day by day, week by week or month by month thanks to the drop-down list next to the chart title.
  • The total number of enrollments on this course
  • The average final score
  • The total number of discussion forum messages posted in the course
  • A line-chart with the average time spent to complete the course. A small arrow, next to the chart title, indicate if this figures increase or decrease compared to the day before.

To the right of this, we can see a gauge graph that gives us a visual representation of the current course status of students by percentage.

  • Successful – the learners have met all the requirements to pass the course
  • Unsuccessful – designates that the learners have completed the course, but without meeting the requirements to pass the course.
  • In Progress – Learner have not yet completed the course, but the course is still active.
  • Not Started – Learner has been enrolled in the course, but have yet to enter the course.

If we scroll down past the Summary section, we can see the complete student roster.

For each student we are given information such as:

  • Learner’s name
  • Email and users properties
  • Current course status
  • Global completion percentage
  • Current score
  • Number of badges attained
  • Number of post written
  • Total time spent
  • Date of enrollment
  • Date of course completion

If you navigate to the table just above, you will different icon that allows you to filter the table according to user properties, change the column display or filter data on time-range period.

Each of the columns are sort-able by clicking the column header. This allows you to organize the data for better and more convenient navigation.

You have also access to different reports inside the “Course Report”:

Exporting Reports

All reports can be downloaded at any time. Reports can be exported in CSV, XLS, and JSON formats. The report download feature is located to the top-right of learner data table.

Once clicked, the reports will then be populated in a list at the top of the page (small cloud icon), and can be downloaded just by clicking on the link.

Reports are only exported in English (columns titles).
