2. Select “Blank Quiz”

3. Click on the pen icon to edit the component

4. On all common problems, you will have the same choice tab.

If you wish to add a header on your quiz, click on this icon

If you wish to make a multiple choice – single answer quiz, click on this icon:

Careful, you can choose this option and decide that multiple answers are correct. The learner will only be able to choose one answer, but more than one answer could be right in the selection.

If you wish to make a multiple choice – multiple answer quiz (checkboxes), click on this icon:

If you wish to make a text input problem, click on this icon:

If you wish to make a numerical input problem, click on this icon:

If you wish to make a drop-down problem, click on this icon:

If you wish to add an explanation to a problem, click on this icon:

Configure the settings as desired.

Display the answer: define when you want the Show Answer button to appear to the learners:

  • Always: Always present the Show Answer option.
  • Note: If you specify Always, learners can submit a response even after they select Show Answer to see the correct answer.
  • Answered: Learners will be able to Show Answer after they have correctly answered the problem.
  • Attempted: Learners will be able to Show Answer after they have made at least 1 attempt on the problem.If the problem can be, and is, reset, the answer continues to show.
  • Closed: Learners will be able to Show Answer after they have used all attempts on the problem or the due date for the problem is in the past.
  • Completed: show the correct answers after the learners have replied correctly to the quiz
    (the learner has no more tries or the quiz is closed).
  • Correct or past due: Learners will be able to Show Answer after they have correctly answered the problem or the due date for the problem is in the past.
  • Submission date passed: show the correct answers to the learners after the deadline date
    has passed.
  • Never: Learners and Staff will never be able to Show Answer.

Display the Rest button: determine if the learner should be able to reset the answers himself, and in that case, make the Reset button appear.

Wait time between attempts: define the wait time the learner has between two answer submissions. If the value chosen is 0, it will be possible for the learner to try the quiz again immediately after an incorrect answer.

Display name: give the quiz a name which will appear when the quiz displays.

Maximum number of attempts: define the number of times a learner can attempt a quiz.

Problem weight: define the total number of points to give for a quiz. If the value is not defined, each answer field for a problem is worth one point.
