Working with Video Component
When adding a video to a course, first post the video on video hosting platform or directly on Triboo, then create a link to the video within the course. The video is therefore played through the video player. The video player supports video formats .mp4, .webm, .ogg, and .mpeg.
Note: To be sure that all the browsers will be able to play the video, we highly recommend using mp4 format.
Note: Do not add special character to your name file.
The Edx player can access YouTube videos. However, since YouTube is not accessible everywhere, we recommend to upload your videos directly into Triboo. When a learner consults a video from the course, if YouTube is not accessible to the learner, the video from the third party site will start up automatically. The learner can also click on the link to download the video from the third party site.
You can use any third party site to post your videos. Remember that this site will undoubtedly need to be able to manage high user traffic.
Note: We also recommend optimizing the size of your videos. It must be less than 80Mb.
