Once you have created a Question Bank in Studio, you can now apply it to any course. If you would like to add a Randmoized Quiz into your course, just follow the steps below:
- Go to the section of the course you would like to apply the Randomized Assessment.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and located the “Add New Component” menu. From the menu select Advanced > Randomized Content Block
- The block is now created, but we need to select the correct Question Bank to apply to the block. You will see a notice that reads:
A library has not yet been selected. In this notice click the link that says: Select a Library - Once selected you will be taken to the block editor window. The Editor has the following options:
- Count – Number of questions you want to display to each student from the pool of question contain in the Question Bank
- Display Name: Title of the block that your learners will see
- Library – this drop down list has all the libraries that have been created for your platform. Select the one you would like to apply to this particular block of content.
- Problem Type – Here you can limit the random selection to only a certain type of problem (e.g. Checkboxes, Multiple choice, Numerical Input, etc.). Or you can choose Any Type to permit a mixture of all problem types within the assessment.
- Scored – Select “True” if the problem is to be counted towards the overall completion of the course. Or “False” if it is not to be weighted towards the final grade.
